AN ESCAPE TO WHAT MATTERS

Explore the Area

LEW Farms sits at the perfect crossroads — 15 minutes to Prince Edward County, 10 minutes to downtown Trenton, and an hour from some of the best nature Ontario has to offer. Here's what our guests love most.

Prince Edward County — 15 min away

PEC is the reason most people make the drive east from Toronto. Over 40 wineries, white sand beaches, farm-to-table restaurants, and a creative energy unlike anywhere else in Ontario. Plan at least a full day.

Sandbanks Provincial Park — Often called the Caribbean of Canada, Sandbanks has three white sand beaches on Lake Ontario with turquoise water that genuinely doesn't look like it belongs in Ontario. Perfect for a morning before an afternoon of wine tasting.

Closson Chase Winery — One of the originals. The iconic purple barn is one of the most photographed spots in the County. Known for exceptional Chardonnay and Pinot Noir using sustainable farming practices.

Three Dog Winery — A fan favourite near Picton. Dog-friendly patio, wood-fired pizza, charcuterie boards, and award-winning wines. Exactly the kind of place you plan to stay an hour and end up staying four.

Karlo Estates — Set in a stunning 1805 post-and-beam barn with a secret speakeasy room inside. Their wines sell out every vintage and aren't available at the LCBO — you have to go there.

Rosehall Run — One of PEC's most celebrated wineries, known for consistent Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and sparkling wines. Open year-round daily.

Huff Estates — One of the largest wine destinations in the County, with an inn, restaurant overlooking the vines, and the Oeno Gallery and Sculpture Garden on site. Great for a longer afternoon.

The Town of Picton — The County's main hub. Boutique shops, great restaurants, a buzzing arts scene, and the kind of main street you wander for two hours without noticing.

Trenton & Quinte West — 10 min away

Signal Brewery — A beloved craft brewery in Corbyville, about 22 minutes away. Great local beers, relaxed atmosphere, and the kind of spot you stumble into and stay for hours.

Bricks & Barrel Kitchen + Bar — A local favourite in Trenton serving Canadian classics and global dishes in a warm, casual setting. Their house Barrel Brew Pilsner is brewed exclusively for the restaurant.

Tomasso's Italian Grille — Consistently one of the top-rated restaurants in Trenton. Classic Italian, great portions, friendly service. Good for a proper dinner night.

Sutha's Pizza Bar & Grill — Your closest sit-down option, just 7 minutes away. Best pizza in the area according to locals. Order ahead on their website.

Trenton Farmers' Market — Open Thursdays and Saturdays, 7am–2pm on Front Street along the Trent-Severn Canal. Fresh produce, baked goods, maple syrup, honey, and local preserves. Perfect for stocking the kitchen on arrival morning.

Reid's Dairy — A local institution in Belleville, 20 minutes away. Famous for their ice cream. Non-negotiable stop on the way home.

Get Outside

Mount Pelion Park — Trenton's own "mountain." Short hike to an observation deck with panoramic views of the waterways and surrounding countryside. Great with the dog.

Lower Trent Trail — A 17km rail trail connecting Glen Miller and Glenn Ross through rural Quinte West. Flat, accessible, beautiful in fall when the leaves turn.

Sager Conservation Area — A 1km trail climbs to a 30ft lookout tower with spectacular views of the Trent River valley. Short but worth it.

National Air Force Museum of Canada — One of the largest aviation museums in the country with over 75,000 sq ft of exhibits and a 16-acre air park. Surprisingly incredible, especially with kids. Plan 2–3 hours.

Batawa Ski Hill — 20 minutes away. Nine runs for skiing and snowboarding in winter, and outdoor adventures year-round. Great for a winter stay add-on.

Bay of Quinte Fishing — The Bay is considered one of the best walleye fishing spots in North America. Multiple free boat launches nearby, and species include pike, bass, salmon, muskie, and more.
